New Scotty Cameron OC (Onset Center) putters combine low torsion with exceptional feel and feedback. They promote a straight path (“square-to-the-path”) and keep golfers closely connected to the putt stroke.
“Onset Center” refers to the shaft position: it is behind the front edge of the putter head (onset) and in line with the center of gravity (center). This tour-validated setup minimizes torsion and simplifies the putting stroke.
Studio Style Fastback OC
The new Studio Style Fastback OC model adopts the basic shape of the Fastback 2025 model, a ring-weighted mid-mallet design with high-contrast alignment. Like all Fastback models in the Studio Style family, the new Fastback OC is made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum and features a Studio Carbon Steel Face Insert with chain-link milling for improved feel and roll. A single alignment line provides clear, simple orientation when addressing the ball.
OC TECHNOLOGY AND FEATURES
Low-torque design: Scotty Cameron OC putters feature a shaft position that is behind the front edge of the putter head (onset) and aligned with the center of gravity of the head from front to back (center). This minimizes torsion and provides a straight feel for golfers who want to reduce face rotation.
Traditional feel and feedback: The Phantom 11R OC model features Scotty Cameron's chain-link milling pattern across the entire face, while the Fastback OC model utilizes the Studio Style lineup with the Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) face insert, also featuring chain-link milling. Both designs improve feel by dampening sound while maintaining feedback, which is especially critical in low-torque setups for accurately identifying the point of contact.
Minimal shaft lean: OC putters feature a one-degree shaft lean that promotes a neutral setup position and natural hand posture—as used by many of the world's best putters. The subtle shaft lean also allows for an unobstructed view of the topline when addressing the ball.
Loft and lie adjustment: Adjusting the loft and lie angles on OC putters does not affect low-torque performance, allowing golfers to change specifications as needed.
Heavier head weight, custom shaft, and grip: The new OC models promote connection to the putt stroke with a 15-gram heavier head weight (compared to standard Scotty Cameron models) and a custom black shaft with flex characteristics matched to the weight increase without compromising feel. OC putters also feature a tapered Matador Mid grip.
